WKYC-TV is currently accepting applications for the position of Investigative News Producer/Web Producer.
POSITION SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
Research and produce investigative reports for newscasts and for the web.
Produce content for all platforms.
Use social media to stay on top of current events in the Cleveland area
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 2 years experience as an investigative or hard news reporter or producer at a commercial market television station or newspaper
- Experience searching and reviewing public records
- Experience at writing for both broadcast and print news
- Computer-assisted research skills
- Willingness to do undercover reporting and surveillance
- Desire to develop sources and to generate story ideas
- Knowledge of current events and issues especially in the Cleveland area
- Working knowledge of satellite newsgathering techniques, desk top editing, Axis or similar graphics system.
- Excellent interpersonal and organization skills.
- Excellent writing skills.
