Channel 3 News Today Traffic Reporter
Pat Butler has been doing traffic on WTAM since January of 2005.
He brings you traffic updates on Channel 3 News Today, Monday through Friday morning between 5 a.m. and 7 a.m.
For the last few years he worked behind the scenes in promotions for WTAM. Because he still loves to give stuff away, from time to time, you'll catch him co-hosting The Contest Show as part of the station's weekend line-up.
A graduate of Holy Name High School and John Carroll University, Pat has always aimed for a career in radio. He hosted several college radio shows at JCU in the late 90's that spanned formats from heavy metal to blues to talk. While finishing up his college courses, he landed his first real radio job in the promotions department at sister-station WGAR. While there, he also DJ'd part-time on the weekends, and without regard for his own safety, he would regularly assist the morning show with juvenile, yet humorous, stunts.
Pat grew up in Parma, but now resides in North Royalton. When he's not flying over the streets of Cleveland, or being belittled by Triv, he enjoys singing and playing guitar for the local rock band SIGNAL 30. He also plays racquetball as often as possible.
