Prior to this, Mark joined Channel 3 as a part-time weathercaster in June of 1994. He began as full-time weathercaster for weekend editions of Channel 3 News at 6 and 11 p.m. in January 1997. After providing weather and news on Channel 3's morning and noon weekday newscasts for more than two years, he was promoted to the 6, 7 and 11 pm newscasts as Chief Meteorologist.
Nolan, a 1991 graduate of Kent State University, was the weather director for TV-2, the campus television station. Upon graduating, he was hired by the university as a radio and television production instructor, which he continued until 1992.
Mark was born in Cleveland (Fairview Hospital) raised in Northeast Ohio and now resides in Geauga County. If not talking weather, he's talking metal, as Nolan spends his free time restoring classic cars and motorcycles, welding and fabricating.
