APRIL 12, 2017 - On Friday, April 21, United Way of Greater Cleveland is hosting a veteran’s resource fair at Cuyahoga Community College’s Metro Campus, 2900 Community College Ave, Cleveland OH 44115. From 9:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. The event will feature social service representatives to help vets with basic needs such as food/housing, financial counselors, social and emotional support and more. For those who do not have transportation to the event, Lutheran metropolitan ministry is providing transportation for the veterans housed in their facility.

In honor of Carl and Louis Stokes, both of whom served in the U.S Army, United Way of Greater Cleveland will host a citywide "Day of Service" volunteer project on April 21st focused on comprehensive basic needs resources for our military veterans.
Stokes: Honoring the Past, Inspiring the Future

What: United Way’s Day of Service for our Veterans event will connect veterans to much-needed United Way basic need services and other community resources. These services will include:
- Health services
- Housing services
- Job services
- Emergency assistance & benefits
- Legal/ court issue services
- VA benefits
