Hollie's holiday bolonaise
1 lb ground sirloin
Olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 medium onion, chopped
8-10 cloves garlic, minced
12 ounce can tomato sauce
1 cup fresh basil, chopped
Parmesan cheese
Cook pasta aldente - drain and set aside
Brown your meat in a large skillet coated with olive oil. Add onion and continue to cook until tender. Add garlic, cook until fragrant. Add the tomato sauce and 1 can of water--- getting all the remnants out of the tomato can. Season with 1 teaspoon of pepper, salt and cinnamon. Let sauce simmer 20-30 minutes...add chopped fresh basil. Stir in pasta. Top with Parmesan cheese.
