Amazon says 'no' to Cleveland, Josh Allen to Browns? The Donovan Live Postgame Show

Jim Donovan and Dave DeNatale discuss Cleveland's failed bid for Amazon HQ2 and Wyoming QB Josh Allen's emergence as a possible pick by the Browns.

On Thursday, we got the news that Cleveland did not make the cut list of 20 for Amazon's second headquarters, HQ2. That rejection led our pal Danielle Serino to go on a mission to city hall to find out what went wrong with Cleveland's bid.

Jimmy kept the conversation going on Donovan Live, as Danielle was joined by Jay Miller from Crain's Cleveland Business and Sam Allard from Cleveland Scene for a panel discussion on Amazon saying no to Cleveland. It was lively and spirited as you'll see below:

Jimmy and I talked more about this on the Donovan Live Postgame Show. Cleveland not making the top 20 was a disappointment, but the way the city leaders have shown a lack of transparency is just as troubling.

We then moved on to football.

ESPN NFL Draft analyst Mel Kiper, Jr. put out his first mock draft on Thursday. In an eye-opening move, he projected the Browns to take Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen with the first overall pick. He also has the Browns grabbing Penn St. RB Saquon Barkley at #4.

Get ready for these kind of ups and downs as various quarterbacks will become the 'flavor of the week' between now and late April. Sam Darnold and Josh Rosen will also have their turns.

Plus, what can we make of what Joe Thomas said last night at the Greater Cleveland Sports Awards? The more I've thought about it, I still think he's coming back to the Browns. Jimmy, however, is of the opposite opinion.
