Students were told to stay in their classrooms but no active threat was found.

CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio -- The lockdown at Chagrin Falls High School has been lifted, according to WKYC reporters at the scene.

Chagrin Falls Mayor William Tomko confirmed that police responded to a potential threat at the school Friday morning.

An email issued to school staff says the school tip line received a report that a student made a threat of a school shooting Friday. The entire campus was locked down as a precaution. The email also says the students involved have been "secured."

Students were told to stay in their classrooms but no active threat was found.

The district says it will resume its regular schedule for the remainder of the day.
