Michael Keaton is returning to where it all started.

The Oscar-nominated actor will deliver a speech at Kent State University's spring commencement May 12, the university announced Monday.

Keaton is a Kent State alumnus, having majored in journalism and speech as a freshman in 1971. After that, he moved on to pursue his acting career, which is highlighted by his roles as Batman, Betelgeuse and Vulture. He also made appearances on "Mister Roger's Neighborhood" and "The Mary Tyler Moore Hour."

All Kent State students and their families can attend Keaton's speech.
