It was confirmed Sunday that a Cleveland Heights Middle school staff member was diagnosed with bacterial meningitis.
According to Scott Wartman, Supervisor of Communications, the staff member contracted the disease while on winter break.
School has not been in session since December 20, and will not resume until January 8.
The school is currently being disinfected.
The identity of the staff member was not released and their condition is unknown.
There is no further information available at this time.
