The Cleveland Museum of Natural History will undergo a facelift soon, thanks to money from the state.
$2.5 million dollars in tax money will help the expansion.
The money is allocated from the state capital budget, but one watchdog group is upset, saying the renovations are something that a small number of Ohioans will benefit from.
"Why is it a Columbus taxpayer or a Westerville taxpayer has to pay for that out of their own money," asks Greg Lawson of The Buckeye Institute. "There's a lot of physical infrastructure needs that the state has. Cities across the state are having problems with their sewer systems having to upgrade those."
There is a system set up for this.
5% of the overall capital budget is given to projects like this one.
The renovations are expected to be finished by 2020.
