CLEVELAND -- One man is dead after he was shot on Cleveland's west side Friday morning.
Police say 53-year-old Donald Van Horn III was shot in the chest and pronounced dead at the scene at BTU Comfort Solutions in the 10200 block of Berea Road.
The suspect, 50-year-old Dennis Perrien, has been taken into custody.
Van Horn was apparently the owner of the business. Police say Perrien was a friend and sometimes an employee.
Investigators say the pair were inside the building when suddenly Van Horn pulled a knife and Perrien took out his gun and opened fire. Police haven't determined why the two took out their weapons.
The case remains under investigation.
