MAPLE HEIGHTS, Ohio -- A SWAT situation has ended in Maple Heights after authorities determined the suspect was not inside the home.
Authorities were on scene for hours and warned people to "stay away" from the area as it unfolded on Raymond Street.
We streamed live video from the scene, but police asked us to remove the feed at 9:25 a.m.
It all started when two women were allegedly assaulted overnight -- one being pistol-whipped.
Both victims were taken out of the residence when officers arrived.
SWAT officials also pulled a 6-year-old boy to safety out of a window.
Police said the suspect was armed and has numerous warrants against him. His name has not been released.
He remains at large.
During the standoff, authorities used a robot to enter the house.
This is one of two standoff situations in Cuyahoga County overnight. A situation in Parma Heights has since ended after lasting approximately five hours.
