LORAIN -- A Lorain man is in custody following a drive-by shooting that left two injured Saturday.
Police responded to a shooting report just after 3 a.m. and found two people with gunshot wounds on Larkmoor Street.
Both victims -- an 11-year-old and 19-year-old -- were struck by bullets that penetrated the walls of their home. The 19-year-old woman suffered a gunshot wound to the shoulder. The 11-year-old boy was shot in the thigh.
An officer responding to the scene spotted a vehicle he believed to be the suspects fleeing the scene. The vehicle failed to stop, leading to a brief pursuit that ended when the vehicle crashed.
One man, identified as 26-year-old Anthony Lamar Charlton, was taken into custody as others fled the scene on foot.
Police say they recovered multiple firearms and expect additional arrests following more investigation.
