Police say they have arrested a suspect who allegedly made a social media threat against Elyria High School Thursday morning.
Officers were notified of the threat around 6:42 a.m. The post read that the suspect was going to "shoot up E High all my emo's & goth brother's & sister's RUN !" The school district was notified shortly thereafter.
The suspect was later taken into custody at his city residence. He is described as a 16-year-old boy who attends Life Skills High School, also in Elyria. Authorities say he admitted to posting the message, and he has since been charged with making terrorist threats and inducing panic. He is being held in the Lorain County Detention Home.
