Pipeline problems: Stark County couple asked to demolish property on their own dime

Back in February, a Stark County couple received a letter from Dominion Energy that ordered them to remove their driveway.

A Stark county family says they've had enough of Dominion Energy.

Back in February, Robert and Debbie Merchant received a letter from Dominion Energy that ordered them to remove their driveway.

The driveway has been on the property for more than 50 years.

Last Wednesday, the Merchants were in court with Dominion and agreed to move forward. However, less than 24 hours later, the couple received another letter from the company.

This time, they wanted 15 more feet of the Merchant's property, meaning Robert would lose his barn and garage.

" We can't believe that they're allowed to do this and just push shove take and walk on anybody they want to."

As of today Dominion has 48 percent of the Merchant property.

Robert Merchant, owner of the property tells WKYC he's livid because Dominion Energy isn't offering a dime for the demolition project.
