SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP -- A Springfield Township police officer has filed an appeal after he was fired for working under the influence of alcohol.

According to a letter issued by Springfield Township Police Chief David Hoover, officer Joe Holsopple underwent blood alcohol tests after two colleagues reported him as being potentially under the influence on Dec. 19, 2017.
