Sunday night at the Winter Olympics was all about the ice, and three American pairs are currently in contention in figure skating.
The duos of Maia and Alex Shibutani, Madison Chock and Evan Bates, and Madison Hubbell (a Toledo area native) and Zachary Donohue all placed in the top ten in ice dancing's short program. All will try to reach the podium with their free dances tomorrow night.
United States women's hockey also dominated Finland to reach the gold medal game, and women's big air snowboarding debuted for the first time at the Olympics, with Americans Jamie Anderson, Julia Marino, and Jessika Jenson all headed to the finals.

11:57 p.m. - USA women's hockey dominating
The United States women's hockey team appears to be on its way to the gold medal game, leading Finland 2-0 after one period.
Gigi Marvin and Dani Cameranesi have each scored for Team USA.
11:33 p.m. - Toledo area native puts on show
The ice dancing pair of Madison Hubbell (who still has family in Sylvania) and Zachary Donohue has vaulted into third place after an impressive short dance.
However, Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir currently lead the event with a score of 83.67, the highest ever in the short program.

10:49 p.m. - Chock, Bates move into second
A pair of American teams currently lead in ice dancing, Madison Chock and Evan Bates just behind the Shibutanis with a score of 75.45.

10:43 p.m. - Shibutanis nail short dance, take lead
The incredible skating sibling duo of Maia and Alex Shibutani have taken the lead in ice dancing, following a near-flawless short program.
Teammates Madison Chock and Evan Bates are next.

10:26 p.m. - Bobsledder's massive shoulders
Both American teams are currently far behind the leaders in two-man bobsled, but much of the conversation was about competitor Hakeem Abdul-Saboor's incredibly large shoulders.
9:02 p.m. - Curling
It's not every day that you see a curling scandal, but we have just that at these Olympics after Aleksandr Krushelnitckii, of Russia, apparently failed a drug test. There's a chance he could lose his bronze medal from mixed doubles.
8:28 p.m. - "Big air" makes debut
For the first time at the Winter Olympics, "big air" snowboarding is on the schedule, which consists of competitors doing a variety of spins and tricks on one large jump.
Women's qualifying is underway right now, with American Julia Marino currently in second place with a score of 83.75.
Marino's teammate Hailey Langland is in eighth, while slopestyle gold medalist Jamie Anderson is far back in 18th after falling on her first attempt. Competitors will get two chances to qualify for the finals, with the top 12 moving on.
8:01 p.m. - Speed skating
Nao Kodaira became the first Japanese woman ever to win Olympic gold in speedskating when she won the 500m on Sunday, upsetting two-time winner Lee Sang-Hwa of South Korea.
