In another eventful night at the Winter Olympics, Lindsey Vonn returned to the games for the first time in eight years. While she started strong, a late slip-up cost her, and she settled for a tie for sixth.
Men's figure skating also wrapped up, and the Pooh Bears were flying as Japan's Yuzuru Hanyu defended his gold medal from four years ago.

12:13 a.m. - Hanyu takes gold again
History repeated itself for Japan's Yuzuru Hanyu, who won gold in men's figure skating for the second straight Olympics after an excellent free skate.
And yes, the Pooh bears flew.
11:29 p.m. - Super-G shocker
We owe you all an apology, for we had anointed Austria's Anna Veith the gold medal winner in women's super-G skiing. Turns out, we did not foresee what will go down as a massive upset.
The Czech Republic's Ester Ledecka, who's actually a world champion in parallel snowboarding, shocked the entire world by besting Veith's time by one hundredth of a second. She becomes the surprise winner of the gold medal in what may be the story of the Olympics so far.
11:10 p.m. - Rippon skates for last time
In his final program of these Olympics, American figure skater Adam Rippon dazzled one more time in the free skate.
He won't come away with a medal in men's singles, but as he told reporters, he was "the most fun."
10:49 p.m. - Zhou delivers solid performance
One day after becoming the first skater to land a quadruple lutz in an Olympic Games, 17-year-old American Vincent Zhou put up another great performance in the free skate. His score of 192.16 moved him into second place behind teammate Nathan Chen.
His other teammate—Adam Rippon—is up soon.

10:45 p.m. - Vonn fails to medal in super-G
Lindsey Vonn missed out on the podium in women's super-G skiing, as a late mistake forced her to settle for a tie for fifth.
Austria's Anna Veith defended her gold medal with a time of 1:21.12, followed by Liechtenstein's Tina Weirather and Switzerland's Lara Gut.
10:11 p.m. - Welcome back, Lindsey Vonn
For the first time in eight years, Lindsey Vonn took to the slopes in an Olympics.
While her super-G time of 1:21.49 was solid, a wide turn near the end cost her a shot at the gold medal. She is currently in third, 26 hundredths of a second behind leader Lara Gut of Switzerland.

9:31 p.m. - Chen shines in free skate
Much has been made about American figure skater Nathan Chen's disappointing performance so far at the Olympics, but tonight, he showed what he is capable of.
The 17-year-old broke his own record by nailing six quads in his free skate program, posting an incredible score of 215.08 and unfathomably putting himself back in medal contention with an overall score of 297.35.

9:00 p.m. - Men's figure skating
The men's figure skating short program is off and running, and Germany's Paul Fentz started things off with a solid run.
America's Adam Rippon is due to skate later. He entered the night in seventh place.

8:20 p.m. - Freestyle skiing
American Madison Olsen's final run in women's freestyle skiing aerials didn't go as planned, but she still managed to have some fun with it.

The United States is currently taking on the Olympic Athletes from Russia in women's curling, but just how does the sport work?
