Not only will we be treated to warmer temperatures, but we will continue to see some glorious sunshine in the days ahead.

Cleveland tends to be a cloudy place in the winter. We like to refer to it as the "Cleveland crud." The clouds are usually courtesy of the Great Lakes (not just Lake Erie), but passing storm systems lend their moisture to the skies as well. This can lead to Seasonal Affective Disorder (also known as SAD), which is a bout of the blues and depression brought on by the gloom.

This week a wonderful change is setting up. High pressure to our south will keep the Great Lakes moisture going in the other direction. At the same time, that high will be pumping warmer air our way, too.

This is a win-win.

But we know it won't linger long. By early next week clouds and rain are back in the forecast, but hopefully the brutal, bitterly cold air will not return.
