Weather across the nation on January 18, 2018

Tomorrow will be a generally breezy, sunny and warmer day across the eastern United States.

The exception will be lingering lake-effect snow showers in northern New England and clouds and showers throughout eastern Texas.

Mild, bright weather is expected to persist throughout the central Plains as well. The impacts of a cold and wet Pacific storm will spread out of the Northwest, extending a finger of cloudy, drizzly weather into the northern Plains.

While snow overtakes the northern Rockies, showers will spill through California.

Areas as far south as San Diego could receive a few spits of cool rain, though enough rain to prompt additional mudslides is not expected.
