For decades, the strength of Northeast Ohio's economy was built largely on the vast manufacturing base of our region. While manufacturing did suffer a period of serious decline from the early 1970's to the early 1980's, manufacturing in Northeast Ohio today is vibrant again. Tens of thousands of job opportunities exist locally for those with the work ethic and technical skills required in this new, highly competitive manufacturing environment.

Channel 3 News is highlighting both the resurgence of manufacturing in Northeast Ohio and the opportunities available, in a new television and internet series called Home Made. WKYC-TV News Anchor Tim White hosts the bi-weekly program which can be seen every other Thursday at 7:00 p.m. on Channel 3 News and here on this special Home Made section of our website.
