3 killed in Indiana grocery store shooting

ELKHART, Ind. -- Police in Indiana say a gunman killed two women at a grocery store before he was shot and killed by police.

Police say the gunman walked into Martin's Super Market Wednesday night and shot a woman in an aisle. Then he walked about 12 aisles over and shot and killed a second woman. There's no word on whether he knew the women.

One victim was a grocery store employee and the other was a shopper.

Police say the shooter was pointing his gun at a third person when officers arrived, so they shot him.

Police say the gunman was carrying a semi-automatic handgun, and they also found a large knife next to his body.
