MENTOR -- Want a good deal on a Sony video camera? How about an RCA Blu-ray home theater? Mentor police can help you with that.
The City of Mentor and the Mentor Police Department are holding a public auction starting at 10 a.m. Saturday behind the police department at 8500 Civic Center Boulevard in Mentor.
A check on the Mentor police website shows that 111 items will be auctioned off. You can take a look at the items starting at 9 a.m.
We took a look beyond the non-descript listing of "unclaimed property, evidence, surplus city property, bicycles, new clothing, jewelry, cameras, television, microwave/convection oven, golf clubs, video games and other miscellaneous items."
Among the items are a Philips 52-inch rear projection TV, a PS3, an RCA Blu-ray home theater, a set of Maxell golf clubs, a Tony Hawk skateboard, about 20 bicycles, two GPS units, a case of 60-watt light bulbs...and a partridge in a pear tree.
Surplus city property? I'm guessing either the light bulbs or the two hard hats, one orange, one yellow.
