Gun control proposal: Read the executive actions

Included in President Barack Obama's gun-control proposal are 23 executive actions-which require no congressional approval-including several aimed at improving access to data for background checks.

The $500 million package of executive action and legislative proposals come a month after a mass shooting in Connecticut left 26 people dead. Twenty of the victims were children.
