Heading into the weekend, I thought you might want to see one of the projects I seem to be eternally working on.

It's a 1957 Harley Davidson FL Panhead.

As you can see by the pictures it's a "complete" bike. But, if you have a project bike, you know they are far from complete at this point. Right now it's in "mock up" which simply means I've put the bike together using the existing parts, hand tightening nuts and bolts just to make sure it's all there and see what I need.

My next hurdles are drive and ignition.

I'm toying with the idea right now of upgrading to a 12 volt system and using a belt drive for the main. I know some of you purists fell of your chars after reading that line but, stay tuned... I have another bike project which will stay 6 volt and all original.
