Emily's Rainbow Run: Fighting pediatric cancer

At age 9, Emily Lewis was diagnosed with a childhood kidney cancer called Wilms tumor. She fought cancer for three years and endured many surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation, and clinical drug trials.

On August 8, 2009, Emily's brave fight with cancer, came to an end.

Emily's legacy continues to live on with her family, and with an annual run called Emily's Rainbow Run.

Emily's Rainbow Run will be held April 10 at Westlake High School, located at 27830 Hillard Boulevard in Westlake. Registration begins at 6:45 a.m. and the first run kicks off at 8 a.m.

The funds raise will help benefit pediatric cancer research.
