LAS VEGAS -- Pro Bowl Cleveland Browns cornerback Hanford Dixon has been named the head coach of Cleveland's Lingerie Football League franchise, the Cleveland Crush.
LFL officials including Executive VP of Football Operations, Bob Golic, made the announcement Thursday.
"Excited to be part of a team that has brought a sense of excitement and rejuvenation around professional football in Cleveland. Bob and I fully intend on establishing a culture much like we had in the 80s, winning football", said, Hanford Dixon.
The LFL has a national television contract with MTV2 to broadcast games on Friday nights at 9 p.m.
The Crush will host their first-ever open tryout on March 27 at 2 p.m. at the Royalton Fieldhouse.
The Crush open their season at Quicken Loans Arena on September 23.
