CLEVELAND -- A Cleveland city worker has been arrested all because of an April Fool's Day prank.
Police say they received a call at 9:39 a.m. for shots fired inside City Hall at 601 Lakeside. Officers, EMS and firefighters were dispatched to the scene.
Once at City Hall, officers learned that a woman working inside the building had called her boyfriend to say shots were fired as part of an April Fool's Day joke.
The boyfriend called police before he realized it was a prank.
The employee, Rhodia Wallace, of Bedford, was arrested for inducing panic and making false alarms.
