New laser at MetroHealth removes wrinkles and scars

CLEVELAND --  MetroHealth Medical Center is using a new laser called the Ultra Pulse Total FX that not only smooths skin, but can also help remove scar tissue.

The laser punctures microscopic holes into the skin that will eventually peel and reveal smoother skin.

Down time is about a week and, over the followings weeks and months, collagen is produced, revealing more radiant wrinkle-free skin.

But MetroHealth didn't pick this laser only for its cosmetic use.  The laser has the ability to get through thickened scar tissue and may, one day, help burn patients.
