CHAGRIN FALLS -- It's the 55th annual Blossom Time Festival in Riverside Park in Chagrin Falls. It runs through Sunday night.
It is also the 23d Annual Chagrin Falls Blossom Time Hot Air Balloon Festival, outside Chagrin Falls High School at 400 East Washington Street.
The balloons will be around with launchings between 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. mornings and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. evenings through Monday morning from the high school.
This year's theme for Blossom Time is "The Toys Are Back in Town," in honor of "Toy Story 3"'s director, the Oscar-winning Chagrn Falls High School graduate Lee Unkrich.
Unkrich, 43, a 1985 CFHS graduate, will also hold a special one-hour, behind-the-scenes talk about Toy Story 3 from 6-7 p.m. Saturday at the Big Top Tent in Riverside Park.
There will also be time for questions and answers during that hour. Toy Story 3 not only won two Oscars but was the highest-grossing film of 2010 worldwide.
Unkrich is also the grand marshal for Sunday's Blossom Time parade.
The Blossom Time parade steps off from the high school at 2 p.m. Sunday and travels down East Washington to Triangle Park.
The annual Blossom Time 5.25-mile run/walk steps off at 9 a.m. Sunday. Watch the start of the race on Channel 3's Weekend Morning show.
The festival in the park has free entertainment all weekend in the Big Top Tent in the center of Riverside Park. There are carnival rides, food vendors and games of chance.
The festival runs through 10 p.m. Sunday night. Admission is free. WKYC Channel 3 is one of the sponsors of Blossom Time.
