My Mom's Homemade Chili
1 quart V8 Vegetable Juice
2 15 oz. cans of kidney beans (I used medium chili spice)
1 pound ground beef
1 large onion, minced
3 stalks celery, finely chopped
2 tablespoons chili powder
dash of cinnamon
salt, pepper to taste
In a large sauce pan, brown ground meat. Add celery and onion and cook until veggies are tender and fragrant. Add beans, chili powder, salt, pepper, cinnamon and V8. Simmer about an hour.
Serve with additional chopped onion, shredded cheddar cheese and sour cream.
Awesome to make chili dogs with...like Matt and I did on the show this morning.
