Can you believe most people have money in their pockets to spend but instead just toss it away?
The problem? That money is in the form of a gift card. Now there's a site where consumers can make a profit from unwanted gift cards.
Goalmine.com says they'll give you 150 percent of the value of the gift card and put it into a savings account. So, if you have a $50 dollar gift card, they'll buy it off of you and put $75 in savings in your name.
GoalMine accepts gift cards from more than 400 retailers.
GoalMine works through Plastic Jungle, another gift card exchange site. With this site, users won't see a profit, but instead an instant payment option for up to 92 percent of the face value of the gift card or users swap their cards for the full amount mailed to them later.
Card pool and Card Cash also allow you to sell gift cards for up to 92 percent of the value.
If you want to get cash back, most of these websites will require that you have a PayPal account.
If there's another gift card on those sites, users can exchange the card for a better value.
And if you you're simply hunting for a bargain, most of these gift card exchange sites sell discounted gift cards.
