AKRON -- More than 150 officers lined the streets of Akron Friday to remember one of their own.

Officer Frank Mancini passed away earlier this week after a bout with pneumonia.

Mancini was paralyzed after he was shot during a robbery in 1965.

His partner -- Eugene Hooper -- was killed that day, and a third officer who was also wounded died years later from his injuries.

Mancini's passion for police work inspired generations of Akron officers.

Frank Mancini was 72.
