AKRON -- Two members of Jimmy Dimora's "A-Team" laughed with each other the day after Dimora's father died.

Antonio Dimora died at the age of 75 on Jan. 22, 2008. The following day, the FBI recorded a telephone conversation between Jimmy Dimora's close friends and associates Michael Gabor and J. Kevin Kelley.

They are discussing whether anything is needed at Dimora's house in Independence, where people had apparently gathered. Gabor, who is at the Dimora home in Independence, says nothing is needed because food has already been delivered.

Kelley asks whether he can bring anything. A moment later, after Dimora is heard talking in the background, Gabor replies to Kelley, "Listen, listen, Jim says bring an envelope," and begins to laugh.

The jury then heard Kelley respond, "Hey, what's new," as he begins to laugh himself.

Evidence was also presented Friday morning that the food for 25 people which was delivered to Dimora's home, came from Executive Caterers at Landerhaven in Mayfield Heights, which did not charge for it.

The head of Executive Caterers, Harlan Diamond, has already pleaded guilty to conspiring with Dimora to shift the cost of Dimora's personal parties at Landerhaven to Dimora's campaign fund.

Diamond has already testified at the trial and is awaiting sentencing himself.

Dimora, 56, of Independence, is charged with 36 counts of bribery, conspiracy and racketeering. Gabor, 52, of Parma, is charged with bribery and conspiracy.

Kelley was the first person charged in the corruption probe, was the first to plead guilty and has been cooperating with federal prosecutors.

Dimora and Gabor have both pleaded not guilty.
