CLEVELAND -- Chardon Police Chief Tim McKenna confirmed at an afternoon news conference the death of Demetrius Hewlin.  He is the third teen to die in the Chardon High School shooting.

His family made the following statement:

"We are very saddened by the loss of our son and others in our Chardon community. Demetrius was a happy young man who loved life and his family and friends. We will miss him very much but we are proud that he will be able to help others through organ donation. We ask that you respect our privacy during this difficult time."

Chief McKenna also announced that one of the hospitalized students, Joy Rickers, has been released from hospital.

That leaves one teenage boy still hospitalized in the shootings.

Earlier Tuesday, authorities confirmed the death of Russell King Jr.

King's family released this statement late Tuesday:

"We would like to thank the public for their continued support. We would also like to extend our sympathy to the families of the victims of this senseless tragedy. We ask that Russell be remembered for who he was, a strong boy with a big heart. He will be missed by many. He was so full of life and we are honoring his wishes to help others by donating his organs. Please respect our privacy during this difficult time."

Daniel Parmertor died Monday hours after being shot inside Chardon High School.

The teen taken into custody in connection with the shootings, TJ Lane, was ordered held in detention during a court hearing Tuesday afternoon.  The judge also imposed a gag order on the attorneys in the case.
