CHARDON -- On Monday, it will be one week since the Chardon school shooting that took three young lives, devastating an entire community.
Chardon has been strong. Still, some can't help but wonder how to begin to move forward.
Aliyah Weirick, 15, says talking about it and praying about it helps. She refers to the past week as a "blur, everything mixed together."
Weirick spoke before Westlake's Church on the Rise about how she's been getting through this difficult time with prayer.
It was quiet in Chardon Square Sunday evening. One woman played a flute in hopes of comforting those who continued to visit the memorial.
Those who came wiped the snow off of flowers and relit candles blown out by the wind.
"I don't even know what normal is anymore," said Weirick, who added they should try to get back to that place. "You don't forget. You just have to move on."
