Westlake: Man arrested in marijuana bust

WESTLAKE -- A 24-year-old man has been arrested after police find him in possession of marijuana  and firearms.

West Lake police officers were called to an apartment building on Westown Boulevard on March 6, at 5:04 pm, after a neighbor called about the smell of marijuana coming from a nearby apartment. 

Officers arrived to the building, where there smell of marijuana was evident. Enz admitted that he also had firearms in his apartment, and then declined to allow a consent search.

Police then obtained a search warrant from the Rocky River Municipal Court and found 10 marijuana plants, along with a .22 caliber rifle and a 9 milimeter semi-automatic handgun. Authorities also seized growing lights, drying equipment, harvested and/or packaged marijuana, and cash.

Enz was taken to the Cuyahoga County Jail to face charges of Possession of Drugs, Drug Trafficking, and Having Weapons Under Disability.

He is a student at Lorain Community College.
