Costumes and props -- including Thor's hammer, an Iron Man suit and Captain America's shield -- from the popular Marvel Comics films are about to hit the auction block.
If you want to get your hands on Captain America's shield that's encased in "ice" at the beginning of "Captain America: The First Avenger," get ready to spend between $4,000-$6,000.
Captain America's three-piece hero costume from the "invasion montage" and onward in the film is estimated at $20,000-$30,000. It's also the costume used in most advertising and promotional materials for the film.
One of Thor's hammers from his first film is expected to land between $4,000-$6,000.
The auction through Profiles in History, will take place April 14 at the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo.
The sale will feature more than 200 items.
"The Avengers," the newest Marvel movie, opens nationwide on Friday, May 4. Captain America and Thor were among the characters seen in Cleveland last summer as the film shot multiple scenes around town.
