CLEVELAND -- A Cleveland middle and elementary school have been closed since Tuesday morning after a student threatened to open fire inside the school.

Constellation West Park Community School, which houses both schools, sent students home at 9 a.m. Tuesday. School administrators decided to close school for a third consecutive day on Thursday since Spring break begins Friday.

According to Safety Director Martin Flask, school staff received emails from a student threatening "to shoot up the building."

The school principal told police that the threats came after the history teacher closed a class Wikispace account after inappropriate comments were posted online while the class was discussing the Holocaust.

"Right up until now, I had no idea what the threat was.  With all the threats happening, shouldn't we know," asked parent Crystal Whitmer.

The school said it would send a letter today to all parents explaining everything.

"I don't know what happened, but its kind of scary," said parent Holly Wood.  "I think we all should have been called and kept up to date about what's going on," she said.

Police are investigating the email threats.  They said they have a "person of interest", but no one has been arrested or taken into custody.
