CLEVELAND -- Just about noon Wednesday, there were reports that the Cleveland Bomb Squad was staging outside Progressive Field downtown.
A Channel 3 News crew on the scene said the media and the public are being kept back from the area.
First Channel 3 confirmed with police that they got a call about a suspicious package at Progressive Field but they declined to add further details.
Just about 1:30 p.m., police said the package was in a parking garage near Progressive Field. An off-duty police officer noticed a strangely wired device and called the bomb squad.
Police say that the package turned out to be some wires attached to a GPS system.
