WICKLIFFE -- Police say a woman who claimed to have been kidnapped during a home invasion made up the story.
On April 6, police took a report of a home invasion on Rickey Lane.
The homeowner reported arriving home with a female friend and said the two were confronted by armed suspects who demanded money. The suspects took money, jewelry and guns before forcing the homeowner's friend to leave with them.
The friend surfaced 16 hours later in Huron claiming to have been held against her will.
Police arrested the friend on April 12 after officers say they developed evidence that showed she was not held against her will and made up the kidnap story. Investigators further allege she was actually involved in the home invasion.
The friend, Tymika Thomas, has been charged with aggravated robbery. A judge has set her bond at $25,000.
Police say more arrests are anticipated.
