BROOKLYN -- Police have released a 911 call made by a woman shortly before her husband opened fire on her and her daughters in a crowded Cleveland area restaurant.
Kate Allen called 911 from a Cracker Barrel on Tiedeman Road just after 8:30 p.m. on April 12. She said she had just told her husband she was leaving him and was worried when she saw him circling the restaurant parking lot.
The family of four had gone to the restaurant to celebrate the 10th birthday of Kerri Allen.
Kate Allen ends her 911 call by telling dispatchers that her husband had entered the restaurant and that officers had also arrived.
Witnesses say Kevin Allen was carrying a long gun and targeted his wife and two daughter. Kate and Kerri Allen died at the scene. Kayla Allen is in critical condition.
Police shot and killed Kevin Allen as he left the restaurant and refused to drop the weapon.
No one else inside the restaurant was harmed.
