BRUNSWICK -- State Route 303 is back open for now, after downed power lines closed the road west of Interstate 71 in Brunswick early Monday morning.
Police had SR 303 closed from Carpenter Road North to I-71 as FirstEnergy crews work to make repairs and clear the roadway.
Crews remain on the scene. The road will have to be closed again when repair crews begin restringing power lines.
There is no timetable on when this will occur.
The lines were first reported down at about 3:30 a.m.
Police do not know the exact cause.
A wind advisory is in effect this morning, with gusts expected to reach 45 mph.
More than 100 FirstEnergy customers in the area were without power for a couple of hours, but power has since been restored and most outages were isolated to businesses along SR 303.
