NEWCOMERSTOWN, Ohio -- Ohio State Highway Patrol said a small plane crashed into a wooded area Saturday afternoon.
They received the call at 12:23 p.m. saying a plane crashed just south of Newcomerstown, a small city about 40 miles south of Canton in Tuscarawas County.
The pilot of the single-engine plane died in the carsh.
The pilot was the plane's only occupant. The OSHP has identified the man as Emil Bisaccia, 59, of New Jersey, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other injuries were reported. The cause of the crash is under investigation. No further details were immediately available.
