CLEVELAND -- The 10th annual Rally for Troops and Welcome Home Ceremony was held in downtown Cleveland Sunday.
The ceremony honors all veterans of the U.S. Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard.
WKYC's Eric Mansfield and Monica Robins were key figures at the event.
Speakers stressed the importance of recognizing the signs of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and the need to support the troops back on American soil.
"It's all about never forgetting. And its not just the people who have given their lives, its also for the veterans that are back that are struggling with PTSD," says Eric King, who attended today's event.
Organizers say the purpose of the ceremony is to express appreciation to all returning veterans of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.
