CLEVELAND -- Who better to tell visitors about the new Horseshoe Cleveland casino than the driver of your taxi?
The casino showed drivers the new parking areas, treated them to lunch and gave them a whiz-bang tour of the facility that opens May 14.
Four public entrances, with street-level doors at Public Square and Prospect Avenue, will provide several access points for pedestrians, motorists and public transportation passengers.

More than 600 taxi drivers were invited to learn about the casino and enjoy a complimentary lunch provided by local chef and Horseshoe Cleveland restaurateur Rocco Whalen.
A second similar event will be held at the casino next week to familiarize area hotel and restaurant managers with the property, preparing them to answer questions regarding the casino from their future guests.
The group will also sample food offerings at The Spread buffet, experiencing one of the dining options available to casino guests.
Horseshoe Cleveland is being developed to engage pedestrians and support existing cultural, dining, nightlife and sports attractions downtown.
Horseshoe Cleveland is estimated to attract more than five million visits annually. The casino will maximize that goal through partnerships with area restaurants and hotels under the Caesars Entertainment Total Rewards loyalty program, which will offer player rewards for dining and hotel stays at Cleveland-area establishments.
A variety of partner hotels and eateries will be named at a later date.
Casino Retail On Tuesday, Horseshoe Cleveland also opened its Gift Shop, a 1,900 sq. ft. retail space located at the base of the casino's dedicated parking structure.
Custom Horseshoe logo apparel and themed memorabilia, along with Cleveland-area beers, wines and sundries are available for purchase.
A second Horseshoe-themed gift kiosk will be located on the buffet level of the casino.
