LAKE COUNTY -- The Lake County Emergency Management Agency says several outdoor emergency sirens sounded in error early Monday afternoon.
EMA says that at 12:32 p.m. Monday, several outdoor sirens in Lake, Geauga and Ashtabula counties "inadvertently sounded," according to Lake County EMA Director Larry D. Greene.
"It's believed the activation may have been attributed to heavy thunderstorms and lightning that moved through the area at the time," he said.
"Technicians are currently inspecting the siren system."
