CLEVELAND -- They are coming any way they can and as early as 6 in the morning.
At 85, Dolores Malbasa has been waiting a long time for her new daily destination -- the Horseshoe Cleveland Casino. She brought her bike and gambling strategy.
"You play six times, whether it's quarters or dollars. If it don't work, go to the next machine," Malbasa said.
Traci Topping and Linda Hall were circling at 11 Monday morning.
"They're only letting so many people in, so the people with the wristbands get in first, so we're going to be next in line," Topping said.
They're here to test the theory that the odds are better in the first two weeks of opening.
"I think so because they are going to want people to come back," Topping said.
"The bells and whistles are going to go off more often to make people come in more," Hall said.
Alyson Brown won't make the 9:30 p.m. opening but found a way to profit in the only Horseshoe facility that 's been open for a week. It's the gift shop.
"If I get a rewards card, I get 10 percent off, so I'm going to get my rewards card," Brown said
For all the reasons, casino enthusiasts are showing up early there is one thing they will all cash in on for certain-- a piece of Ohio history.
Doors open at 9:30 p.m. and, after the VIPs are in, it's open to the public 24 hours a day.
They are limiting capacity to 5,000 people so be aware there could be a wait at the door.
