FORT COLLINS, Colorado - Crews fighting a wildfire in northern Colorado have brought in a helicopter and about 80 more firefighters to try to bring the blaze under control.

Forecasters say winds up to 15 mph are expected on Tuesday, and they are worried about the fire spreading. The blaze broke out Monday in the Roosevelt National Forest.

The fire is burning on an estimated 280 acres about 20 miles northwest of Fort Collins. Fire spokeswoman Reghan Cloudman says calls were made to 160 phone numbers telling residents to prepare to leave.

Cloudman says the fire is within a quarter mile of homes.
