SUGARCREEK TOWNSHIP -- The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating what caused a fatal crash Sunday, involving a car and a motorcycle.
The crash happened on TR105 (West Lebanon Road) at TR148 (Krug Road).
Windfield Stevens, 51, of Canal Fulton, was driving his Kawasaki motorcycle northbound on TR105. As he approached the intersection, he lost control and went left of the center line, hitting a Chevrolet Camaro on the driver's side.
Stevens and his 10-year-old passenger were taken to Aultman Hospital.
Stevens died from his injuries several hours later. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The 10-year-old boy was wearing a helmet and is expected to be ok.
Highway Patrol says alcohol doesn't appear to be a factor.
